The Diamond Jubilee celebrations, which recognizes the 60th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II, have officially begun. All provinces and territories in Canada are flying the Queen's Canada Flag today in honour of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty's accession to the throne.

Atlantic Canada Premiers host mission to the United States

Premier Robert Ghiz is leading a trade team mission to Atlanta, Georgia, focusing on trade in aerospace and defence, information technology, life sciences, agri-food and seafood. The mission will take place on February 6-8, 2012.

Over $5 million in projects are going to tender as part of the first round of road construction projects for the 2012 construction season. Nearly $38 million in total has been budgeted to improve safety and efficiency on Island roads and bridges in 2012.
